Bacon County Development Authority Bacon County Development Authority office is located in the Alma/Bacon County Welcome Center. Our office is located just inside the front doors facing US 1.

To stimulate quality economic development in Bacon County using comprehensive marketing programs designed to expand and diversify the tax base, provide quality jobs, retain existing businesses and sustain quality of life for residents throughout Bacon Cou Come visit us! On October 21, 2026 at approximately 7:00PM, officers with the City of Alma Police Department were dispatched to a residence off of Floyd St in reference to a runaway-missing juvenile. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the juvenile's guardian and began an investigation.

Alma PD officers contacted the Alma-Bacon County Crime Suppression Unit for assistance in the investigation and search for Juvenile Robertson. Alma-Bacon County CSU along with Alma PD Officers and Deputies from the Bacon County Sheriff's Office searched a wooded area near the residence. Juvenile Robertson was not located in the wooded area and has been determined to be missing.
