Hello! The ice day has altered some of our shopping plans for the Book Fair!

Wednesday: Kindergarten shopping with class

Thursday: First Grade shopping with class

Family Night: Thursday, March 2, 4pm-7pm

If you have an E-wallet set up for your student please notify their teacher so she will know who to send down to do shopping. If you are sending cash, please put it in a sealed envelope with their name on it. The teacher or classroom para can hold onto these until shopping time as well! I hope to see all of you out on Thursday night! Thank you for your support of Luce Road!!

This week we are reading “Where the Wild Things Are” Now that the library is back together we get to start checking books out again! Your students have not been able to come with them due to the library switch! Thank you!!

While we are still working on the library, (we are almost done!) Mrs. Hamad went around to do library in the classes! Today we read “Martin’s Big Words” in honor of Dr. King!

Last week we read “Leaf Trouble”! Reminder to our first grade friends to bring your library books back tomorrow so you can check out a new one! Once we get in the hang of returning one book we will be able to start bringing TWO home! So it’s important to make sure you get your books back! Reach out to me with any questions!

Last week we read everyone’s favorite Nibbles!! Just a reminder to the adults, library books are due back on Tuesday for 1st Grade, Wednesday for Kindergarten, and Thursday for Preschool! Make sure your students are keeping these books in a safe place that they can easily access to read and return!!

First check out of the year! We talked about keeping our books in the same safe place all the time until we need to return them! So with your student pick a good place where they will be able to grab the book to read and put it back! All books are due back on their library day! If they wish to return books early they can! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me!

Next week we are going to start checking out books! So this week we are talking all about how to treat a book! Books don’t like to get wet, don’t eat near your book, keep your hands clean, keep books away from small children and all pets! Ask your kiddo about these rules and why we have them! Books are Friends!

Our story this week was “We’re Going on a Book Hunt” We talked about behaviors in the library and getting ready to check out books in a couple of weeks!!

This week we are talking illustrator! The kids love to draw and be their own illustrators! Our story talks about a little girl who does the same thing!
