We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news with our Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan school community!

Our very own Lincoln Elementary PE Teacher, Dustin Ambort, has been selected as the 2026 WHPE Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year! 🥇🍎

This prestigious statewide honor recognizes what we here at Lincoln already know: Mr. Ambort is an impactful educator and a champion for our students. Whether he is using creative visual supports to help our youngest 4K and Kindergarten learners or designing complex skill-building activities for our 6th graders, his focus is always on making PE class engaging, data-driven, and high-impact for our students.

Beyond our gymnasium walls, Mr. Ambort is a major leader in the state of Wisconsin. He serves on the WHPE Board of Directors and recently presented at a national convention. He even took the time to visit four different universities to guest lecture and mentor the next generation of physical education teachers!

Mr. Ambort will be officially presented with his award at the Wisconsin Health and Physical Education Convention this October.

☀️ Summer School 2026 Field Trips 🚌

We are so excited for another fun-filled summer of learning, adventure, and making memories! Our students will be enjoying weekly trips to the Hoffman Aquatic Center, the Black River Falls All Abilities Park, Timbavati Wildlife Park, and more. Parents are always welcome to join us on our field trip adventures!

These experiences give our students opportunities to explore, play, learn, and build friendships outside of the classroom while creating unforgettable summer memories. 💙

Hello Friends of Lincoln,
We are seeking Ashley For The Arts volunteers willing to support Lincoln programs during this year's festival. Information on volunteering can be found below.

How to Sign-up!

- Click “Sign Up Here”
- Enter organization password: hornets!
- Click the check box next to the shift(s) you want to sign-up for and scroll to the bottom of the page
- Each job has a short “job description” to help explain the job duties.
- Be mindful that certain jobs have an age requirement– if this is required it will be noted in the job description
- Enter volunteer information
- Name, phone number, t-shirt size, birthdate when applicable
- Select the Volunteer Organization from the drop down (all groups associated with a school district, select the school name from the drop down)
- Type the specified group to receive the credit for the shift in “Specific Group” box
- Only ONE volunteer name can be submitted at a time as the sign-up is unique to each volunteer (first name, last name, email, shirt size, etc.).
- You can +Add people but there has to be enough shifts available for each name that is entered
- Click “Sign Up to Volunteer” when complete
*Special note – first person to hit “Sign Up to Volunteer” on an available shift will be signed up for it. If more than one person is trying to sign-up for the same shift at the same time, one will receive confirmation and others will not.

Lincoln Jr/Sr High School earns state recognition for academic achievement and student growth.

Named a 2024-25 Wisconsin School of Recognition

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has named Lincoln Jr/Sr High School a 2024–25 Wisconsin School of Recognition, an honor highlighting its dedication to student growth and achievement.

Lincoln Jr/Sr High School received the award in the High Impact category. This distinction is based on a rigorous set of criteria, including academic performance, measurable progress in student growth or graduation rates, reducing achievement gaps - particularly among students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Wisconsin Schools of Recognition program honors Title I schools that are ensuring educational success for all students, especially among those facing economic challenges.
