Rodman Public Library will screen the latest sequel of a beloved movie franchise on its big screen inside the Main Auditorium at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 26.

In the 2026 animated comedy-adventure, classic toys face an existential crisis when their child becomes obsessed with modern electronics. The central conflict forces a group of traditional playthings to go head-to-head with a high-tech tablet device to save the future of playtime.

As the United States commemorates the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Alliance Review photographer Ed Hall Jr. shared his three-day experience in New York City in the aftermath of the national tragedy with an audience inside the Rodman Auditorium on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Hall took hundreds of photos between September 12 and September 15 in 2001, documenting the devastation as the newspaper attempted to localize one of the biggest news events in the history of the United States.

Today, RPL remembers those innocent people who gave their lives in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, as well as the many first-responders who heroically attempted to serve and protect on that horrific day and the days that followed.

Don't forget about our Movie Matinee on Saturday (September 12) at 1 p.m. when we will screen a family-friendly, animated adventure-comedy feature film inside the Main Auditorium.

The 2026 movie, which is rated PG, runs 1 hour and 30 minutes. It recounts the story of mischievous yellow creatures as they become accidental silent film stars in 1920s Hollywood, losing their jobs when “talkies” arrive. Hoping to make their own horror movie, they use a stolen spell book to summon a creature and other ancient monsters, accidentally unleashing a global apocalypse that they must team up to stop.

All movies are free at RPL and fresh popcorn is provided, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is not required. All ages are welcome to attend, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
