Katrina Karell was featured on Pure Nebraska as well as the 4-H Design Gallery. The annual exhibition, “4-H Design Gallery” continues through Monday, September 1 in the 4-H Exhibit Hall at the 2026 Nebraska State Fair. As the fifth annual iteration of this exhibit, the work of 22 youth is featured from around the state who have competed in the areas of Clothing, Home Design & Restoration and Quilt Quest. 4-H Judges from across the state served as jurors for these categories during exhibit judging in Grand Island.

Katrina has two exhibits featured in the 4-H Design Gallery, her barn quilt featuring an Eagle, as well as her ribbon dress. Katrina is a member of the Little Critters 4-H Club and is also very active with her small and large animal livestock projects.

2026 Nebraska State Fair Culinary Challenge!

Box Butte County 4-H members Katrina Karell and Ayla Foster recently competed in the 2026 Culinary Challenge at the Nebraska State Fair and received purple ribbons!

For their Greek-themed meal, Katrina and Ayla prepared Potato Bambas, putting their creativity, teamwork, and culinary skills to the test.

We’re proud of these two 4-H members for representing Box Butte County at the state level!
