Our Big Blue Bay swimming pool is open from the end of May until the end of August. We offer Red Cross Swim Lessons each summer for 5 year olds through level 5. For more information, please call 308-762-2384.

Big Blue Bay will close at 5 PM on Friday, June 26, to allow the Alliance swim team time to set up for their annual home swim meet. The pool will also be closed for the swim meet on Saturday, June 27 all day. Big Blue Bay will reopen on Sunday, June 28 at noon. Night swim from 6 to 8 PM will be held on Wednesday and Thursday only this week.

Pool hours, are weather permitting. We will be closed during inclement weather and when air temperatures are below 70°.

Thanks to everyone who showed up! This was so well attended that we ran out of food! Thank you KCOW, Grocery Kart, Dairy Queen, Alliance Park Foundation, and Mayor John Mcghehey. Thanks to the Alliance Chamber for providing the ribbon cutting and to the First Christian Church for the generous donation and helping us celebrate!

The City of Alliance and the Alliance Park Foundation will host a community event to celebrate the opening of the Central Park playground on June 18, 2026. To officially open the playground, the Alliance Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting at 4:30 pm and the public is encouraged to attend. The City of Alliance would like to thank the First Christian Church for their generous donation toward the completion of this project.

Refreshments provided by the Alliance Park Foundation and Alliance Dairy Queen will be served in the Shelter house beginning at 5:00 pm. Please call 762-2384 for more information.
