Glamorgan Castle

Glamorgan Castle Glamorgan Castle, built in 1904, is a stunning historical landmark supported by the Castle Crusaders (501c3) in the community of Alliance Ohio.

Guided tours of Glamorgan Castle are EVERY FRIDAY at 1pm and 2pm. Self-guided tours only first full weekend of each month (Saturday 10-1, Sunday 1-4). A donation of $10 per person aged 13 and over requested. Tours take 60 minutes and visit all four floors of the castle.

🧤 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY FOR THE CASTLE! 🏰🌿

We need YOU! We’re trying to look our best for expected out of town guests this fall.

Saturday, September 12th @ 9:00 AM
Glamorgan Castle - 200 Glamorgan St, Alliance, OH

The Castle gardens need some love before the 720 Market, and we can't do it without our amazing community!

We will be weeding, trimming, cleaning beds, blowing leaves — getting that Castle lawn beautiful!

Bring if you have them:
🧤 Gloves
🪴 Garden tools, rakes, shovels, pruners
🍃 Leaf blowers

No experience needed — just show up ready to get dirty! Many hands make light work.

This is all volunteer-powered and every bit helps preserve our historic Castle.

Come for an hour or stay all morning — any help is appreciated!

We all know the marble staircase at Glamorgan Castle stops people in their tracks.

But here’s what most people miss… 👇

1. LOOK UP: That plaster ceiling medallion has been there since 1904. Most guests walk right under it.

2. LOOK CLOSER: Those stair rails aren’t iron. They’re wrought bronze, crafted by the Jackson Bronze Company of New York.

The Morgan family didn’t just build a staircase. They built a moment. You’re meant to pause at the top, take in the chandelier, the arched window, the bronze... THEN make your entrance.

So I’ll ask again: When was the last time you actually looked up?
