AFD was dispatched to the 1100 block of E. Patterson last evening for the report of structure fire. Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack and worked to progress to the seat of the fire. Interior operations were made difficult due to conditions inside the structure. Lexington and Sebring fire departments responded as part of our Auto-Aid program, delivering much needed resources. APD controlled traffic and assisted in gathering information. The American Red Cross was called for victim assistance. A board up company secured the scene for investigation by the State Fire Marshall's office. Private EMS responded to standby if needed. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
