🚧 Road Closed Means Closed 🚧

Regarding N. Dauphin St, a truck driver drove around road closed signs that ultimately took down the wires and pole that was hanging over the roadway.
Road closures are put in place for one reason — safety. Whether it’s downed wires, a crash, flooding, emergency operations, or another hazard, these closures are there to protect the public and keep the area safe for emergency responders to do their job.
When motorists choose to drive around road closed signs or barricades, it creates additional hazards, puts responders and the public at risk, and can interfere with emergency operations.
Under Pennsylvania law, drivers are required to obey official traffic control devices, including road closure signs and barricades. Ignoring them can result in citations and fines.
