Our Street Outreach team is always working to make sure our neighbors experiencing homelessness have access to essential supplies. We are currently looking to replenish several items that are needed.

We invite churches, organizations, businesses, and community groups to consider hosting a donation drive to collect items for The Conference Street Outreach team.

If you’re unable to host a drive or donate, you can still help by sharing this post and spreading the word.

September is Hunger Action Month, and at The Conference, addressing food insecurity is part of our everyday mission. Through our Soup Kitchen, we serve approximately 300 meals each day, Monday through Saturday, providing meals to individuals and families in our community. ❤

Please join us in welcoming Carissa Cam-Samonte to The Conference Board of Directors!

We are excited to welcome Carissa to our board and look forward to the experience, knowledge, and perspective she brings to our organization and the communities we serve.

Carissa is a Community Engagement and Systems Navigator with the Bethlehem Health Bureau, where she works to develop cross-sector solutions connecting public health, law enforcement, housing, healthcare, the courts, and community-based services.

Her work focuses on addressing complex community needs, including homelessness, behavioral health challenges, justice-system involvement, and barriers to care. She also serves as Treasurer of the Bethlehem Star Foundation and participates in regional partnerships focused on homelessness, crisis services, community health, and public safety.

Carissa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in intelligence studies, and a master’s degree in data analytics.

Her commitment to human dignity and her belief that lasting change happens when organizations and communities work together align closely with the mission of The Conference.
