With Election Day 24 hours behind us, I cannot be more honored to announce I was re-elected as a councilwoman for Allentown Borough. This amazing little home, community, village, and haven for all its residents and surrounding communities truly shows us what is at the heart of our values and culture! Oneness, compassion, love, togetherness, and A-town Pride! I am so thankful for each and everyone of the people that went to the polls and cast their ballots voting for my second term! It is my privilege and honor to continue to serve you all. And I vow to continue to run for results not politics as we as a governing body continue to work for the betterment of us all; together! Congratulations Councilman Mike Drennan, I look forward to working with you for three more years! Thank you to the Laurie A. Roth, Administrator/Municipal Clerk, our Deputy Clerk, administrative staff, CFO, Borough Attorney, Roberts Engineer, amazing professional, DPW, and Allentown Borough Police Department for your endless, tireless work making what we do so much easier! We wouldn’t be able to do it without you all. I am forever grateful!

Looking toward a future of a clean and sustainable planet is crucial to me as a mother of five, which makes me extremely proud to be endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters! Protecting our public and historic lands, as well as environmental and personal health and well-being, is something Allentown’s residents and I are passionate about, and I will continue to fight for it!

Hi Friends, Family, & Neighbors,

Many of you have seen me out in the community over the past three years, so I’m sure most of you know me. But just to be safe, let’s get reacquainted. I’m Nikki Darling, a longtime Allentown resident, and I’m seeking reelection to the Allentown Borough Council. Over the past few years, I’ve been hands-on in the community by securing grants for our parks, enriching our recreational programs, addressing stormwater management, and improving sewage and wastewater systems—among many other initiatives. While all of this progress is exciting, I’m just getting started. With the threat posed by the Stein property application, Allentown needs leaders who will continue to work across municipal, county, and state jurisdictions—and political aisles—to protect our beloved community.

With that being said, I invite you to a meet-and-greet BBQ on October 5th after our community cleanup. Help beautify our town before our widely acclaimed Fall Fest, and then from 3-5 enjoy some BBQ while learning about why I’m running for reelection and what a second term would have in store!

As always, I’m available anytime to chat and hear what you want to see from your elected officials. Feel free to DM or email me at [email protected]. Also, don’t hesitate to wave and say “Hi” if you
see me out running with my dogs.

My Fellow Allentown Residents,

Thank you all for waiting so patiently for the official results to come in. I wanted to wait to make an announcement because I strongly believe in our democratic values and wanted every vote to be counted.

Allentown made their voices heard and elected me to be their next councilwoman! I am deeply honored and humbled to be representing the great people of Allentown in the Borough Council.

I look forward to working with my fellow council members, Mayor Fritts, Municipal Clerk Laurie Gavin, business leaders, and surrounding town officials in making a bright future for Allentown.

I cannot thank you all enough for voting for me this election. I would like to make a special thank you to my family, and friends that helped me along this journey! You all have a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to continue to work with you all to accomplish great things in the great borough of Allentown NJ!

Thank you all!
And God Bless America!

Tomorrow is the big day! Tomorrow you make your voice heard in this election. With your vote, we can make a significant amount of change and move this town to a bright future. But I would be remiss if I did not thank those that helped me to this point. I want to thank dearly The Moth Coffeehouse family, my friends at Allentown Presbyterian Church, and my family. They all had my back throughout this whole process and I cannot express how much I appreciate their help and guidance throughout this journey.

To my fellow Allentown residents, if you are tired of the horrendous traffic that puts our loved ones in danger, if you are hurting from the pandemic, if you want to ensure that our children receive the best and safest education possible I ask that you find your way to the Allentown High School Main Lobby to write in Nikki Darling.

If you elect me as your councilwoman, I will work with our small business owners to find the best solutions in building back our small-town economy, I will work with our neighboring town and County officials to put an end to our current unsafe roads, I will also work side by side with the UFRSD school board members to ensure that our children go to school and get the best and safest education. If you want a leader in your town council that will do everything in her power to fight for the needs of every single resident in this town, you need to go out and write in Nikki Darling for Allentown Borough Council.

Twenty years ago, this country fell to its knees as the horrific terrorist attack took place in NY, DC, and PA. We lost 2996 people in the towers! Countless Firefighters, police, and EMS workers from across the country came to help in the rubble, came to feed the people at ground zero and prayed for all the people affected on September 11, 2001! To see the way the country came together, to see the families lose loved ones; yet seeing how we embraced and loved everyone in this nation was inspiring. We sat together as one nation under God, helping the hurt, hugging the hurt, and crying for the way the love inspired, and drove us all to be better as a nation! Today on the twentieth anniversary of that day when a blanket of smoke shielded our eyes from what we were not ready to see, we waited on baited breath to see how much we needed to rebuild what we had lost.
I come to you all today to say we will never forget! We will honor those that lost their lives, we will comfort the people whose lives will never be the same because of their losses, and we will come together once again to celebrate what we can do as a nation when we put ourselves aside and focus on all of our brothers and sisters! 20 years ago we did better for the people that we could save, mourned the ones we lost, and worked together to heal! Today I pray for continuing healing for everyone that is mourning, I pray for all the lives we have lost, and I pray that once again we come together in unity to do better for our nation!
