Joe Trigg, a 25-year veteran of the Grand Rapids Police Department, has been named the department's next chief.

This week, officers Rojas and Wiersma worked with students at the Grand Rapids Metro High School Police Academy. This program provides local high school students with the opportunity to experience police training for one week.

Last week, Chief Lindstrom and Captain Khatir attended the First Responders Appreciation Lunch hosted by Pastor Moses, Acts Gospel Ministries and iCI Nation: Connecting Cops and Community. We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with the community we serve. Thank you to the leaders and community members for welcoming our department to the event.
