To the Grand Valley Community,

We are deeply saddened by the action of many individuals to breach the United States Capitol building today. Our organization does not stand with these individuals and their decision to inflict violence towards law enforcement, lawmakers, and Capitol staff. This type of behavior is unacceptable, and we would like those responsible for these actions to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We understand the many emotions that our party has felt throughout this election cycle, but there is never a place for violence. That is not us. That is not America. The violence must stop now. Our thoughts are with the Capitol Police, those injured, and our country as a whole.
