Happy Fiber Finish Friday!

A few brave crafters weathered the storm to make it to our Needles, Hooks, & Books fiber group last night. We are so thankful for their dedication. Below are the projects they finished this week.

Colleen finished the adorable baby blanket and matching hat. They will be gifted soon.

Brandi finished a Santa style hat and patriotic shawl just in time for Labor Day.

Michelle began working on a mobile she’s making as a gift and she completed the first little helicopter that will adorn the mobile.

Needles, Hooks, and Books is a fiber crafting group for adults ages 18+ that meets every Thursday from 6-7:30 pm.

There is no registration for this program. Although participants are expected to have a working knowledge of a fiber craft, the members are always willing to help when needed.

Bring your work in progress and join us next Thursday at 6 pm!

Happy Fiber Finish Friday!

We have four finished projects to show off this week from the amazing crafters in our Needles, Hooks, & Books group.

Angel whipped herself up the colorful messenger bag & she even made pockets on the inside. She puts the fun in functional. 😎

Colleen's daughter is having a bit of a wasp problem, so Colleen crocheted a beehive🐝 to put on the porch to scare the wasps away. We are eagerly awaiting to hear if the lovely beehive fixed the problem.

Jennifer made the purple shawlette that is sure to be a wonderful accessory as the weather turns cooler.

Michelle crocheted the sweetest little deer. 🦌 The recipient is sure to love it, and if they don't, we know a few crafters that would provide a loving home. 😍

Are you a knitter, crocheter, needle pointer, rug ho**er, or are you interested to learn more about the fiber arts? Our Needles, Hooks, & Books fiber group is a drop-in craft evening for ages 18+ & meets every Thursday evening from 6-7:30 pm in the Library Meeting Room.

Although Needles, Hooks, & Books is not currently a teaching group, members are always willing to share advice or lend a hand when needed.

As always, there is no registration or residency requirements for any Library program and everything is 100% FREE.

For questions, please call the Library at 313-381-2425.
