Total Senior Care (TSC) is proud to announce it has received a $2,000 grant from the Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation to help replenish its Participant Supply Pantry, which provides essential household and personal care items to seniors in need. A portion of the funds will also be used to provide gas and food gift cards, helping participants maintain independence and access necessary resources.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Renodin Foundation for recognizing the challenges our participants face and supporting this essential program,” said Melissa Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Total Senior Care and HomeCare & Hospice. “These funds will ensure that our seniors have access to critical supplies that many of us take for granted—items that food stamps don’t cover and that can be difficult to obtain on a fixed income.”
TSC’s Supply Pantry was created after feedback from its Participant Advisory Committee, where members suggested a need for household essentials like laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and paper products. Participants earn tokens through activities at the center, which they can then exchange for these necessary supplies. The pantry has been a lifeline for many seniors who struggle with transportation or financial limitations.
“This grant directly aligns with our mission to improve the quality of life for those facing economic hardship,” said Laura Whitford, President of the Renodin Foundation. “By helping to stock this pantry, we are supporting the dignity and well-being of seniors in our community, ensuring they have the essentials they need to live comfortably and independently.”
Total Senior Care’s PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) serves more than 125 individuals across Cattaraugus, Allegany, and Chautauqua counties, helping seniors remain in their homes while receiving the care and support they need. The Participant Supply Pantry is one of many ways TSC goes beyond traditional healthcare services to enhance the well-being of its members.
