A new quarter means a new exhibition in our display space! With America's 250th birthday coming up, we're revisiting our roots with an exhibition all about our original Carnegie library, which was built in 1914 with a generous grant from the Carnegie Corporation. Stop by and check out some reproductions of historic photos and documents detailing the construction of the library!

If you want to learn even more about Carnegie libraries, we have a presentation coming up on Tuesday, June 23rd at 6 PM: "Carnegie Libraries Across Michigan" with Dianna Stampfler! Join us on Saturday, June 13th for our Summer Reading Kickoff! We'll have bounce houses, a dunk tank, and musician Panda Pete, all sponsored by the Friends of the Allegan District Library! We'll also have reading logs to hand out, and you can start turning them in at the library on the following Monday, June 15th, when Summer Reading officially begins. We'll see you there!
