Our online school enables students to work from a computer at home rather than at school. Only some tests and exams need to be taken at the school; all other course work may be done from home. It'
s a great option for students who find it difficult to attend traditional school. ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES:
The purpose of the Allegan Adult Education Program is to assist students in reaching their educational goal and to prepare them for their next step in education and/or employment. Our staff is dedicated to helping students reach their goals. We offer FREE CLASSES for students to earn a GED Certificate or H.S. Individual studies may include book and online classes. GED Testing is offered to our students at a reduced rate. ALLEGAN ONLINE K-12 PROGRAMMING
Allegan Online also offers a virtual option for K-12 students. This option is 100% online curriculum and we have certified teachers who offer support for our students. Students can work on their K-8th curriculum, their 33-credit high school diploma or their 18-credit merit diploma. Our high school diploma students also have the option to attend the Allegan Tech Center. CREDIT RECOVERY:
Full time high school students from Allegan and other districts needing to make up credits can enroll. Work in our lab, or at home…. GED Testing Without Allegan Adult Ed. Classes
GED Testing is now run by the Pearson-Vue Company and Allegan Public Schools is a Pearson –Vue Testing Center. APS is not the contact for scores, scheduling appointments or changes to your account. This will all be handled through Pearson-Vue. The new process for registering for the GED Test can be done by calling 1-877-EXAM-GED (1-877-392-6433) or by going online to: ged.com. You can select the testing center, date, time, and subject you wish to test. You must pay the $37.50 per test fee for the exam by credit card, debit card or voucher when scheduling your test on the ged.com website. If needed, you must change or cancel your appointment 24 hours before testing to get a refund. “No shows” no refund. This is a Pearson-Vue policy.
