On June 15, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers from the Aliquippa Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Carroll Street for the report of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers located an older adult male victim who had sustained serious injuries after being assaulted by two males. The investigation revealed that the dispute began when the victim confronted the suspects for trespassing on his property, which was clearly marked with “Private Property” and “No Trespassing” signs. The investigating officer determined that the victim was not armed with any type of weapon during the incident.

During the altercation, one of the suspects, later identified as Emere Mason, B/M, 27, of Ambridge, pointed a handgun at the victim, threatened him, and pistol-whipped him multiple times. Mason, along with Benjamin Ridley, Jr., B/M, 20, of Aliquippa, then assaulted the victim, causing severe facial and body injuries that resulted in several teeth being knocked loose or out. The victim suffered significant bruising, swelling and bleeding as a result of the attack. The suspects also forcibly stole the victim’s cell phone and wallet and removed his pants during the course of the assault.

Ridley was located a short time later in the Valley Terrace B Building area and taken into custody. Mason remains at large, and an arrest warrant has been issued for him.

A search warrant was executed on the vehicle that was operated by the suspects during the time of the assault. During the search, officers recovered a f***y pack containing identification belonging to Mason. Officers also seized approximately 20 grams of co***ne, 27 grams of crack co***ne, and ma*****na from the f***y pack.

Robbery
Simple Assault

Emere Mason has been charged with:
Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
Robbery
Possession of a Firearm without a License
Terroristic Threats
Simple Assault
Possession With Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances

On June 18, 2026, at approximately 12:00 a.m., officers from the Aliquippa Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Linmar Terrace for reports of shots fired.

While responding, Beaver County 911 advised officers that additional callers reported that a subject had been shot. Upon arrival, officers encountered a crowd and an active disturbance. Officers secured the scene, de-escalated the situation, and detained a female identified as a potential suspect. A male believed to be a possible victim was located and it was determined that he had not been shot or otherwise injured.

Due to the nature of the incident, the Aliquippa Police Department requested that the Pennsylvania State Police assume the investigation. The incident remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, Beaver Barracks. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Beaver at (724) 773-7400.

Attention Valley Terrace Residents:

When you see an increased police presence at the Valley Terrace Buildings, understand that the increased presence is a direct result of the ongoing behavior taking place within the Valley Terrace community.

Recent videos circulating online depicting a fight involving multiple females, while a young child can be heard crying in the background and seen on video, are being closely reviewed. Charges will be filed where appropriate.

These videos represent only a portion of the ongoing issues that have been reported. They are in addition to the many disturbances, reports of shots fired, disorderly conduct incidents, and other criminal behavior complaints that officers have investigated. The frequency and severity of these incidents have required an enhanced police presence and increased patrols in an effort to deter criminal activity and maintain public safety.

To the many Valley Terrace residents who simply want a safe place to live, this message is not directed at you. Unfortunately, the continued actions of those who repeatedly engage in violence and disorder have created an environment that negatively impacts everyone and gives the Valley Terrace community a reputation it does not deserve.

The increased police presence is not the problem. The behavior that necessitates that presence is. Any frustration regarding the increased police presence should be focused on the individuals and circumstances that are causing the issues requiring additional patrols.

The Aliquippa Police Department will continue to hold offenders accountable and work with those residents who want a safer and better community.

On June 12, 2026, the City of Aliquippa Police Department conducted a coordinated crime suppression operation throughout the City in response to an increase in calls for service, firearm-related incidents, shots fired complaints, disturbances, and other criminal activity.

This operation was conducted through the cooperative efforts and assistance of the Beaver County District Attorney’s Office Detective Unit, Beaver County Drug Task Force, Beaver County Sheriff’s Department, Beaver County 911 Center and Medic Rescue.

Officers, Detectives, and Deputies maintained an increased presence throughout the City. Arrests were made for illegal firearm possession, outstanding warrants, drug offenses, and disorderly conduct-related charges. All minor violations were handled with discretion and warnings.

Our primary focus remains addressing violent crime, apprehending wanted individuals, and maintaining a visible police presence to enhance the safety and quality of life for our residents, businesses and visitors.

We appreciate the cooperation shown by the community and thank our partnering agencies for their continued support. These efforts are part of an ongoing commitment to restoring and maintaining law and order within our City. Additional enforcement details and proactive operations will continue.

Together, we will continue working to make Aliquippa a safer place for everyone.

If you’re attending the Beaver Falls Car Cruise, we hope you have a great time and enjoy this outstanding community event. Please remember that your actions reflect not only on you, but also on your family and our city.

Beaver Falls Mayor Kenya Johns has made it clear that any disturbances, disorderly behavior, or violations of the law will be met with appropriate police action, and both juveniles and parents will be held accountable.

Please show respect for the businesses, residents, event organizers, and law enforcement officers working to keep everyone safe. Make good decisions, look out for one another, and help ensure this remains a fun, family-friendly event for everyone.

Let’s show our neighbors that the young people of Aliquippa represent our community with pride, respect, and maturity.

On June 10, 2026, at approximately 11:26 p.m., officers with the Aliquippa Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Wykes Street following multiple reports of shots fired in the area.

Upon arrival, officers determined that an occupied residence on the block had been struck by gunfire. Officers secured the scene and located shell casings and bullet fragments as part of the preliminary investigation. Despite the residence being occupied at the time of the incident, no injuries were reported.

Due to the serious nature of this incident, the Aliquippa Police Department requested the Pennsylvania State Police to assume the lead role in the investigation.

On June 6, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers from the Aliquippa Police Department responded to the area of Knoll Street and Irwin Street following multiple reports of shots fired.

While officers were checking the area, Beaver County 911 advised that a delivery driver who had been in the vicinity was responding to the police station. The driver reported that their vehicle had been struck by gunfire at least three times. The driver described the suspect as a Black male wearing dark-colored clothing. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspect with negative results.

During the investigation, officers located multiple shell casings in the 1000 block of Knoll Street.

Due to the nature of this incident, the investigation has been referred to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Community Update Regarding Pennsylvania State Police Patrols

A message from the Chief of Police:

The Aliquippa Police Department would like to address questions and comments regarding the increased presence of Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) patrols throughout our city.

The Pennsylvania State Police serve the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and have the authority to patrol and enforce laws within all municipalities. In recent months, the Aliquippa Police Department has worked closely with PSP and requested additional assistance in addressing violent crimes and other serious offenses affecting our community. This partnership has proven to be highly successful and has enhanced our overall public safety efforts.

The visibility of additional patrol officers serves several important purposes, including crime deterrence, traffic safety enforcement, rapid emergency response, and increased police presence in neighborhoods throughout the city. Studies and experience have consistently shown that a visible law enforcement presence discourages criminal activity and helps residents feel safer in their community.

The Aliquippa Police Department responds to more than 1,400 calls for service each month. With a limited number of officers on duty at any given time, our personnel are often committed to handling calls, conducting investigations, and addressing ongoing issues in areas experiencing higher levels of criminal activity. The assistance provided by the Pennsylvania State Police allows for increased patrol coverage throughout the city while ensuring that residents continue to receive timely police services.

We encourage residents to view the presence of PSP officers as a positive development and a valuable partnership that benefits our entire community. Our shared goal is simple: to make Aliquippa a safer place for residents, businesses, and visitors.
