In an effort to reduce preventable diseases, Healthy South Texas will; Educate community members on healthy food preparation, Encourage a habit of regular physical activity and Provide resources for disease prevention. Key aspects of the program focus on:


1. Engaging families and promoting change in Diabetes, Asthma and Infectious Disease.
2. Reducing preventable diseases and their consequences in South Texas through: Nutrition and cooking classes, Physical activity programs, Worksite Wellness, Food Safety, Farmers Markets and Community Gardens
