🚨 : Officers responded to a call at a nail salon regarding a woman and her friend, who decided to skip out on their $345 mani-pedi bill. The suspect said she didn’t have the money on her at the moment, while her “friend” left her behind with a fake phone.

With only $50 in Apple Pay money, all she could promise was that she would return the next day to pay off the rest of her set. The suspect said her boyfriend was coming to pay, but that story fizzled out after an hour of waiting.

Ultimately, Nayeli Ortega of Los Angeles, CA, was arrested and booked at APD Jail. Maybe next time she’ll stick to press-ons or just a classic clear coat. 💅

Earlier this week, members of the Alhambra Police Department joined agencies from across Los Angeles County for the 57th Annual Los Angeles County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

During the ceremony, Officer Alec Sanders was honored as his name was formally added to the memorial wall.

It was a meaningful evening of remembrance and reflection as we honored the lasting impact of those who dedicated their lives to serving others. Officer Sanders’ service, sacrifice, and legacy will always remain part of the APD family. 💙
