This morning’s Chamber Coffee was hosted by Kossuth Regional Health Center, and it was great to hear about the new providers now caring for patients at KRHC!

Kevin, KRHC’s new da Vinci 5 Surgical Robot, is officially up and running, helping the surgical team perform select procedures with enhanced precision.

KRHC continues to grow access to specialty care in Algona, now bringing 9 different specialists here for clinical and surgical care right at home in Kossuth County.

MUSEUM CRAWL IS TONIGHT!

We’ve been getting a few questions, so here’s everything you need to know before you head out tonight!

🎟️ Are there still tickets available?
YES, absolutely! Buy your $25 ticket at any of the participating museums and start your Museum Crawl experience from there.

📍 Do I have to start at a particular museum?
No! Pick whichever museum you’d like to start at. Buy your ticket there — or bring your ticket if you pre-purchased — receive your wristband, and then visit the museums in any order you please!

🚗 Is there a shuttle, or do we drive ourselves?
There is no shuttle, but you’ll really only need to park twice!

Park in the beautifully newly reconstructed Nebraska Street parking lot and walk to both the Camp Algona POW Museum and Kossuth County Historical Museum.

Then drive over to the Kossuth County Fairgrounds, park once and visit the Kossuth Ag & Motorsports Museum and Iowa Hall of Fame Racing Museum. From there, take a short walk across the fairgrounds to visit the Camp Algona Nativity Scene.

☀️ It’s a beautiful night in Algona — come out, explore some places you may not have visited before, enjoy local bites and samples along the way, and experience a little more of what makes our community special!

🏛️ TONIGHT — Museum Crawl!
There are still plenty of tickets available, so it’s not too late to join the fun! The Museum Crawl runs 6:00–8:00 p.m. and you can start at whichever museum you’d like. Simply purchase your ticket at your first museum stop and begin your crawl from there!

We are proud to welcome the Kevin Cram Memorial Scholarship to the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce!

Established in loving memory of Kevin Cram, this scholarship honors a life defined by kindness, integrity, and a deep commitment to family and community. The scholarship carries that legacy forward by investing in the next generation and supporting Kossuth County students pursuing education and careers in agriculture.

DID YOU KNOW? There’s so much history waiting to be discovered right here in Algona!

From WWII letters, diaries and artwork to an incredible model train display, racing simulator, historic schoolhouse, and the Camp Algona Nativity Scene—these are just a few of the unique stories and displays you can experience during the Museum Crawl!

Join us Thursday, September 10, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. and make your way through five local museums, enjoying food, refreshments, and samples from local breweries and wineries along the way.

🎟️ Tickets are $25 in advance and available at the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce office or any of the five participating museums. Cash or check only.

Come explore places you may have driven by a hundred times—and discover something you never knew about our community!

Kossuth Regional Health Center (KRHC) continues to serve as a trusted home for healthcare in our community, providing high-quality, personalized care close to home. As a MercyOne affiliate, KRHC is committed to making healthcare convenient and accessible while living out its values of compassion, respect, stewardship, integrity, excellence and accountability.

KRHC operates a 25-bed critical access hospital, two family medicine clinics, home care, hospice and public health nursing agencies and employs approximately 250 individuals. From emergency and inpatient care to outpatient services, surgery, specialty care and wellness, KRHC continues to grow and adapt its services to meet the changing healthcare needs of our area.

That growth includes welcoming Northwest Iowa Surgeons to the KRHC team. All five surgeons will rotate through the KRHC Specialty Clinic, with surgical procedures beginning in September. The partnership gives area patients greater access to surgical care locally, helping reduce the need for patients and families to travel for services.
