This dog was found near the intersection of Sixth Street and Adams Street in the City of Algoma. It is very friendly and most likely belongs to someone in the area. If you are the owner or know who the owner is, please contact the Algoma Police Department at (920) 487-3311 or the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department Dispatch at (920) 388-3100 to arrange a time to meet an officer to return the dog.

📢 Public Assistance Requested - RE: Incident #26-01646

We are asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual in reference to property that was recovered, so the property can be returned to its rightful owner.

On Monday March 23, 2026 at approximately 4:45 pm, an unknown possibly adult female left two duffel bags on the curb in the 400 block of Steele Street.

If you have any information that may assist, please contact the Algoma Police Department at 920-487-3311 or contact the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department Non-Emergency Number at (920) 388-3100.

We appreciate your assistance in helping reunite this property with its lawful owner.

** If we are unable to locate a rightful owner within 90 days and/or the owner does not claim these items within this period, the property will be treated as abandoned, after which it may be sold at auction, destroyed, or given to the finder if they complied with legal notice requirements outlined in WI State Statute §170.050 and in §170.12. **

City of Algoma EXTENDS Snow Emergency

The City of Algoma is EXTENDING the snow emergency effective at 2:00 AM Sunday, March 15, 2026, ending at 12:00 PM on THURSDAY, MARCH 19th, 2026. This snow emergency is being called due to heavy snowfall and the need to clear streets safely and effectively. This snow emergency affects all streets within the City of Algoma.

During the snow emergency period, the following restrictions apply:
1)No vehicle is allowed to park on any City street until the snow emergency has expired.
2)Overnight on-street parking permissions will not be granted.
3)Vehicles found parking on-street during the snow emergency will be tagged, ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

Again, the snow emergency will remain in effect until 12:00 PM on THURSDAY, March 19, 2026. All City of Algoma residents and property owners must follow these snow emergency restrictions to 1) avoid receiving citations and vehicle tow charges, and 2) allow the City to clear roads in a safe and efficient manner.
Due to expected extreme conditions caused by this snowstorm, residents are urged not to travel unless necessary. Thank you for understanding and support on this issue.

Attention Residents!

Parking Ban Update:
With the inclement weather heading this way and being predicted to last through the weekend, the parking ban is in full effect. There will be no parking on any City streets during the hours of 2:00 am until 5:00 am until further notice.

Violators will receive citations and could possibly be towed at the owner's expense if the weather is bad enough for the plows to go out.

March 31st of each year during inclement weather
It is vehicle owners’ responsibility to be
sure their vehicle is off the street during snow, as the presence of vehicles hinders snow and ice removal efforts.
