Microchips work! Resident trapped a cat and brought it to the Shelter. The cat had a microchip. Made contact with the owner. The cat went missing 2 YEARS ago in Baton Rouge! Unknown how the kitty wound up in Alexandria. Even after two years, kitty recognized his owner. A very happy ending!!!

We have new animals available for adoption! Come check out our newest dogs and cats---kennels are open MWF from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and TTH from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Adoption fees are $90 for male dogs, $95 for female dogs, $75 for male cats and $85 for female cats.
