TABOO CONVERSATION SUBJECTS
In the interest of civility, etiquette and proper behaviour, the following subjects are herewith and
henceforth deemed inappropriate topics of conversation while at the Château du dieu de Bourbon.
Violation of these taboos carries a fine of $5 per incidence, payable immediately to the transgression
kitty.
1. The Democratic Party or any of its candidates or constituents, unless the conversation is
intended to malign or vilify them.
2. Animals involved in common “animal phobias:” snakes, spiders, insects and possibly rats.
3. Anything involving urine, f***s, vomit, blood, mucus, or other bodily fluids or excretions (tears
are the only exception).
4. The possibility that a male human being could become pregnant and bring a baby to term.
5. Graphic descriptions of surgery or autopsies, while other guests are eating.
6. Descriptions of murders, rapes or other violent crime.
7. Cannibalism, human sacrifice and other socially unacceptable customs practiced by other
cultures.
8. Torture of animals, such as flinging them out of catapults, cooking them in microwaves or
skinning them alive.
9. Discussion of eating anything not socially acceptable as a food source; this includes insects and
other invertebrates (except for seafood) and organ meat.
10. Disparaging or uncomplimentary remarks about Justin Bieber specifically or young male
musicians or boy bands in general.
11. Religion or religion-like cults (such as Mormonism or Scientology), unless the conversation is
intended to malign or vilify them.
12. Graphic descriptions of infants or children under 10 and their habits, activities or bodily
functions.
