🚧 **South Liberty Street Update** 🚧

Columbia Gas has completed repairs to the damaged gas lines on South Liberty Street.

The Parker's Park exit onto South Liberty Street is now open and may be used as normal.

Please note that Columbia Gas crews will need to return at a later date to complete permanent asphalt repairs in the affected area. We have been advised that this work is expected to occur sometime within the next month. Once we receive a confirmed schedule, we will share that information with residents.

For the safety of workers, please do not use the Parker's Park exit onto South Liberty Street until further notice. The Main Street entrance to Parker's Park will serve as both the entrance and exit during the construction period.

Temporary Brown Water Possible During Hydrant Flushing

The Village of Alexandria is currently flushing fire hydrants as part of our routine water system maintenance. In addition, the Village of Granville has recently been flushing hydrants on its own system, which supplies water to Alexandria.

As a result, some residents may notice temporary brown or discolored water, especially along Granville Street and nearby areas. This is caused by sediment being stirred up in the water mains during the flushing process.

The water remains safe to use, but you may wish to avoid doing laundry until the water clears. If you experience discoloration, running cold water for several minutes will usually clear the line.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important maintenance work to help maintain water quality and fire protection throughout the Village.
