At approximately 3:29 AM Monday morning, Patrol Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Community Lane in reference to another shots fired call. This comes on the heels of the shooting that occurred in Kelley Land early Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, deputies located two residences that were damaged by gunfire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Deputies also located multiple shell casings in the street.
From their initial investigation, deputies located a fi***rm inside one of the residences that had been damaged by gunfire. At this time, it is still unclear if this fi***rm was connected to this incident.
Detectives also say it is still early in both investigations to positively determine this incident is connected to the one early Sunday morning in Kelley Land.
Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene and collect evidence.
As their investigation continued throughout the day, detectives were able to identify a suspect as Dataevious Deontae Taylor, 18 of Alexandria. Taylor is a black male, 6’1” tall, 170 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. (see photo)
Detectives have secured warrants for Taylor’s arrest for 3 counts aggravated assault with a fi***rm and 1 count attempted 2nd degree murder.
Detectives say Taylor should be considered armed and dangerous.
