Sandbag pickup is available today for Alexandria residents in anticipation of potential heavy rainfall.

Free, pre-filled sandbags may be picked up while supplies last at the Alexandria Consolidated Compound, located at 2021 Industrial Park Road.

Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Residents must present a driver’s license or utility bill as proof of residency.

Limit of 10 sandbags per vehicle.

ATRANS SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Jackson Street route will go down from 2 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, 6/16/26, and is expected to resume normal service on Wednesday, 6/17/26, at 6:10 am.

ATRANS SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Atrans will operate 3 buses tonight 6/15/26 for Night Service.
Rt 1 will run at 6pm and 9pm, Rt 2 will operate at 7pm and 8pm.
Rts 3,4 will operate normally.
Full Night Service is expected to resume at 6pm on Tuesday 6/16/26.

We’ll be at City Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with water slides, music, activities for the kids and free food while supplies last. 💦🎶🍽️

It’s a free, family-friendly way to spend part of the day and let the kids enjoy some summer fun!

Another great Party in the Park! ☀️

Week two brought another great crowd out for summer fun in the sun! Thank you again to Sonia Quarters Outreach Ministry for being part of these events and helping make them special. Thanks to everyone from the community who joined us and a big shoutout to our Community Services and Administrative teams for making it all happen!

We’ll be back next Thursday at City Park, 2800 Masonic Drive, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with more music, food, water slides and activities for the kids. Come spend part of your summer day with us!

Week 2 of the City of Alexandria Summer Camp was packed with fun, learning and unforgettable experiences!
