We already have 28 neighborhoods, businesses, or houses of worship registered for National Night Out, but that's just over half of the participation we saw last year. Help us break last year’s record of 51 participating communities.

National Night Out is an opportunity to bring neighbors together, strengthen community connections, and meet the Alexandria Police Department officers who serve your area. Whether you're planning a large neighborhood gathering or a small block party, we encourage you to get involved this year.

Register your National Night Out event by scanning the QR code or visiting alexandriava.gov/NNO.

Let's make this year's National Night Out our biggest yet.

Meet Our Week One Camp Volunteers!

Help us welcome Officer Donisi and Officer Aguilar as they join us for the first week of the 2026 camp season!

These two are among our newest officers, having just graduated from the police academy in December, and this is their very first year volunteering with camp. We couldn’t be more excited to have them be part of the team!

When an unexpected vacancy came up at the last minute, both officers stepped up without hesitation to make sure our campers had the support, supervision, and positive experience they deserve. Their willingness to jump in and help shows the dedication and commitment they already bring to our community.

Thank you, Officer Donisi and Officer Aguilar, for helping make camp a safe, fun, and memorable week for our kids! We appreciate you!

Have a great week!

Today, we proudly celebrate the graduation of Session 154 as they officially join the ranks of the Alexandria Police Department.

Over the past several months, these recruits have demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to serving others as they completed the rigorous training required to become police officers. Their graduation marks an important milestone, but their training journey is not over.

Next, Session 154 will enter the Field Training Program, where they will work alongside experienced APD officers, applying their academy training in real-world situations while continuing to learn, grow, and prepare for solo patrol.

Please join us in congratulating Session 154 on this achievement and wishing them success as they begin the next phase of their careers serving the Alexandria community.

Welcome to the team.
