Receiving SSDI or SSI and thinking about returning to work?

If you’re ages 18–64 and looking for meaningful employment while improving your financial situation, the Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work program can help you explore your options without immediately losing your benefits or health care. Protections are in place if you’re unable to continue working.

This free and voluntary program offers personalized employment support, including job goals, resume help, training, interview prep, job placement, and retention services.

Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of our Tech Course in partnership with Edu-Futuro. As part of the event, participants attended a Workforce Development Center workshop to learn about the resources available to support their career goals.

We also hosted a professional photo session for resumes and closed out the program with a celebration. Thank you to the Edu-Futuro team for their partnership and dedication in making this program a success.

We had a great time hosting our Meet the Employer: Mini Networking Session!

Seventy job seekers connected directly with employers, gaining valuable insights from a professional panel discussion before moving into a job fair-style networking environment.

A huge thank you to our participating employers—including Vaco (by HighSpring), Alexandria Fire Department, Alexandria Police Department, C.J. Coakley Construction Co., ABM Industries, and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority—for engaging with our job seekers and making this event a success.
