It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved brother, a true community pillar and civil rights champion, MacArthur Myers of Alexandria, Virginia.

MacArthur was more than an advocate—he was a guardian of our city’s history, a fierce protector of truth, and a tireless voice for justice. His work to preserve the stories of Alexandria’s African American community ensured that our ancestors’ struggles and triumphs would never be forgotten. Through his leadership, scholarship, and unwavering commitment to equity, he shaped the moral landscape of this city.

To his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him, we extend our deepest condolences. May we honor his legacy not only in memory, but in action—by continuing the work he so faithfully carried forward.

Rest in power, Brother Myers. Your light remains with us.

Racism is not just a social issue—it’s a spiritual one. It distorts God’s image, divides His people, and contradicts the gospel of reconciliation. Scripture calls us to repent of prejudice, seek justice, and walk humbly with all people.
