The City of Alexandria proudly recognizes and celebrates our dedicated Public Works employees during National Public Works Week! 👏

From maintaining our streets and parks to keeping essential infrastructure running smoothly, our Public Works team works behind the scenes every day to keep our community safe, clean, and moving forward. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

This year’s theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” highlights the important role public works professionals play in supporting the quality of life we enjoy every day.

We would also like to recognize Public Works Superintendent Mike for recently traveling to Frankfort to meet with the Governor alongside the American Public Works Association. We are proud to see Alexandria represented and to celebrate the important work being done by public works professionals across the Commonwealth. 👏

The lake trail at Alexandria Community Park is designated as a FOOTPATH ONLY area. To help protect our park and ensure a safe experience for everyone, bicycles are not permitted on the walking trail.

This helps:
✅ Improve pedestrian safety
✅ Reduce trail wear and erosion
✅ Protect the natural environment and wildlife

We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our park enjoyable for all visitors. Thank you for your cooperation! 💚
