SGA just held its first Homecoming Convention of the year along side with all of the class councils!

At the Homecoming Convention, class councils, officers, administration, and sponsors get together to discuss changes that could be made to the Homecoming Packet by submitting amendments that get voted on by the entire group.

This ensures that we are biannually updating the Homecoming Packet to make Homecoming a better event for the student body:
- Adapting to student interests
- Following school/county guidelines
- Making homecoming week fairer for all classes
- Discussing fundraising efforts for charity
- Establishing clear communication between all parties (Administration, Sponsors, SGA officers and Class Councils)

SGA Officers had the pleasure of getting to meet and talk to Ms. Vroman, our region’s Assistant Superintendent at our second SAC (Superintendent Advisory Council) meeting today at Hayfield Secondary school!

At SAC we got to discuss the new phone policy and grading policy, successes across the county, and issues that we want to explore throughout our monthly meetings with students across FCPS county.

tldr; WHO LOVES MONEY 🤑

Hey TJ!

Money Wars is about to begin! Money must be collected by each class and donated to Helping Hungry Kids. The money will be collected through My School Bucks (MSB). Each class will have a separate link for students in that class to donate to. Money may also be donated in cubbies. Each grade has a goal of $2,000 to raise. If a grade raises all $2,000, they will receive the full 500 points. Any total donation below $2,000 will be adjusted according to scale. For example, if a class raises $1,000, they will receive 250 out of 500 possible points. A class’s possible points caps at $2,000/500 points, but SGA encourages more donations!
All classes have equal opportunity to receive all 500 points if they all meet the goal of $2,000! Fundraising may only occur through the following means: Asking family and close friends, your own money, word of mouth, advertisements. We know you love money so DONATE TO YOUR CLASS!! 💵💵

It’s finally our time to shine! Welcome to Homecoming week, the best week at TJ! For those of you who are unfamiliar with HOCO week, everyone at TJ comes together and displays their class spirit. Through pep rallies, spirit days, fun events, and a WHOLE competition, TJ students get a chance to have some FUN! 🔥🔥
