United Community will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Our offices and programs will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 8. We wish everyone a safe and restful holiday!

August 21 was a special day at United Community’s United Community Early Learning Center Learning Center as our preschool proudly received their diplomas and celebrated an important milestone on their journey to kindergarten.

For some of our graduates, that journey began years ago. Several entered the Early Learning Center as infants and have quite literally grown up within our classrooms. Graduation may mark the end of their time as ELC students, but it is also the beginning of an exciting new chapter. They now join the growing family of Early Learning Center alumni, leaving our doors more confident, curious, and ready for what comes next.

This celebration was made even more special thanks to the generosity of our community and corporate partners. We are incredibly grateful to Insperity, Devotion To Children , St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Alexandria, and Cakes 4 Kids for helping us celebrate our graduates and make their big day one to remember.

Come out to see Dan Aminoff and I today at the South ALX Block Party. 🪩 There’s music, food trucks, FFX Touch-a-truck & K9, raffles and the opportunity to learn about local businesses and organizations in Alexandria.

Thank you to United Community for putting together such a family friendly event. Thank you to NVAR and NVAR Cares for allowing us to get out into the community for a day of FUN! 🎉✨
