Was an honor and privilege to honor this amazing WW2 Veteran and spend a couple of days hearing his story. Was a provide to spend a couple days with a French citizen who wears Bill’s uniform for living history events. Sylvain is a tru supporter of the 45th Div in Southern France. Sylvain reconnected Bill and a French family Bill knew in 1945. A little 9 year old boy named Alan. They were able to FaceTime after 80 years. Alan had many photos of a young Bill in uniform. Happy 100th Birthday Bill, Eager for Duty and Always Forward! We presented two MOWW Silver Patrick Henry medals in Enid for their wonderful Memorial Day Ceremony at Woodring Airfield. Both were totally surprised. The hardest workers never want attention placed on them. Both MG Doug Dollar and Ms. Elaine Johns have worked incessantly over many years to honor veterans. Today we honored them. Citations are in the comments.
