Nicole has been a dedicated member of the EMS family for nearly six years, bringing passion, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to supporting both her team and the communities we serve. Her journey in healthcare began long before EMS, with experience at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and as a Case Manager for Texas Adult Protective Services. These roles strengthened her desire to be a voice for those in need and inspired her to continue serving others through EMS.

When asked what this recognition means to her, Nicole shared:

"I'm ecstatic to be named Support Person of the Year. It makes me feel honored that my dedication and reliability are recognized by my team. Supporting others and witnessing their growth gives me great pride. This award reminds me that my colleagues depend on me for stability, guidance, and collaboration."

🏆 Congratulations to Our 2026 EMT of the Year, Jeremy Ardoin! 🚑

For 20 years, Jeremy Ardoin has dedicated his career to serving patients, supporting crews, and making a difference across many areas of EMS.

Jeremy always knew he wanted to work in healthcare, and EMS provided the perfect path. Interestingly, his EMT journey began during a historic moment. Just three weeks into class in August 2005, his instructors were deployed in response to Hurricane Katrina. Despite the challenges, Jeremy and his classmates stayed the course and completed their training on time.

Being named EMT of the Year is a humbling honor for Jeremy, who credits the recognition to the peers he has worked alongside throughout his career. From working on the ambulance to dispatch and even in the casino setting, he has embraced every opportunity to learn and serve within EMS.

The value that guides Jeremy each day is simple but powerful:

"Treat every patient like they are one of your family members."

Whether answering a call in dispatch or caring for a patient on an ambulance, he believes compassion and empathy should always come first.

For those considering a career in EMS, Jeremy's advice is:

🏆 2026 Paramedic of the Year: Danta “Nikki” Carlock 🚑

Since beginning a career in EMS in 2019, Nikki has been driven by one simple goal: to make a difference in people's lives when they need it most.

Starting as an EMT with a fire department, Nikki quickly realized a passion for patient care extended beyond the initial response. After handing patients over to paramedics on scene, Nikki knew the next step was becoming the provider who could stay with patients throughout their entire journey of care.

That opportunity came in 2021 with MedExpress.

"When I came to MedExpress, it just felt right. I finally had the opportunity to run calls from start to finish, and I knew I was where I was supposed to be."

For Nikki, EMS is much more than a career. It is a calling rooted in compassion, service, and family.

Every patient is treated as if they were a member of Nikki's own family. Whether responding to an emergency or offering reassurance during someone's worst day, Nikki believes every person deserves kindness, respect, and the comfort of knowing they are not alone.

"I want every patient I care for to remember that they were treated with kindness and respect."

Nikki's advice to those entering EMS reflects the values demonstrated every day:

Lead with kindness and compassion, even on the hardest days. 📚 Never stop learning and growing. 🤝 Don't let one difficult call change how you care for the next patient who needs you.

David entered EMS in August 2019, his inspiration comes from a combination of emotional fulfillment, career growth, and the desire to serve.

When asked what being named Dispatcher of the Year means, he shared:
