The City of Alexander City is proud to announce the opening of Station 3 on Sugar Creek Road, an important investment in public safety and service to our community.

Under the leadership of Mayor Mike Densmore and Chief Reese McAlister, this new station represents a continued commitment to improving the quality of life for our citizens by strengthening emergency response, supporting our first responders, and preparing for the future of our growing community.

Station 3 is more than a building. It is a commitment to safety, readiness, and serving the people of Alexander City with excellence.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

Due to a water main repair, the eastbound lane of Hillabee Street at the intersection of Central Avenue and 8th Avenue is closed to traffic until further notice.
Crews are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible.

⚠️ Please use alternate routes and use caution when traveling in the area.
We will provide an update as soon as the repair is complete and the roadway is reopened to traffic.

⚡✂️ A bright future for Alexander City! ✂️⚡

This morning, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new substation located at the corner of Dadeville Road and Coley Creek Road—an investment that will strengthen our community and prepare us for future growth.

This new substation will help relieve the load from the Highway 280 substation, provide increased reliability for critical facilities such as our hospital and nursing homes, and create the capacity needed for continued growth east of Highway 63—from the Highway 280 intersection all the way down the corridor.

A special thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing this important project to life:
