Local favorite Cate Gartner takes the stage at 6:00 p.m. to open the evening at City of Aledo Summer Blast 2026 in downtown Aledo, bringing a powerful local voice to kick off the night. A former American Idol contestant and worship leader at Christ Chapel West, Cate brings a mix of heart, talent and hometown pride to the stage.

As Cate opens the show, the park will come alive with everything Summer Blast has to offer — food trucks, craft vendors, giveaways, the Myser Orthodontics Kid Zone and so much more happening across the park from start to finish.

Then as the sun goes down, Graceland Ninjaz will take over as the headlining act, bringing a high-energy, mashup-filled performance that keeps the crowd moving all night long.

Get there early with your lawn chairs and blankets to settle in for a night of celebrating summer together at Aledo Commons Park on Saturday, June 6 from 6 to 10 p.m. 🎆

Headlining City of Aledo Summer Blast 2026 on Saturday, June 6 is Graceland Ninjaz, a powerhouse cover band known for turning the stage into a nonstop party. Their show blends iconic hits from across five decades into one seamless, engaging experience that keeps the crowd moving all night long.

Expect everything from Elvis to Bruno Mars, Journey to Rihanna and more as they mash up rock, dance, hip hop and soul into a set that feels like the ultimate throwback-meets-today soundtrack.

And when the LED dance floor lights up, the whole crowd becomes part of the show. Step in, dance it out and be part of the energy that turns downtown Aledo into one big summer celebration!

We’re just over a week away from City of Aledo Summer Blast 2026, Aledo’s official kickoff to summer, happening Saturday, June 6 from 6–10 p.m. at Aledo Commons Park. This free community celebration brings downtown to life with live music, food trucks, local shopping, an LED dance floor, an epic Kid Zone and a fireworks finale to close out the night. ☀🌴🎆

We also want to recognize the local businesses and organizations whose support helps us take Summer Blast to the next level and create an unforgettable experience for our community.

Crews have begun work along FM 1187 as part of a beautification effort through the Texas Department of Transportation Green Ribbon Program.

This project will improve the landscaped medians between Bankhead Highway and the railroad tracks, including a full replacement of irrigation systems and updated landscaping using native, drought-tolerant plantings designed for long-term sustainability and an improved roadway appearance.

Quick Facts:
✅ Funded through a grant program managed by TxDOT
✅ Work will be conducted over the next few months
✅ Work began after school let out to help reduce traffic
✅ Lane closures are expected at various phases of the project to protect workers

When complete, this section of FM 1187 will feature a refreshed, more welcoming corridor that highlights the beauty and pride of the Aledo community.

School is out, SUMMER BLAST IS ON!

Aledo’s official kickoff to summer returns June 6th from 6–10 p.m. at Aledo Commons Park as a free, signature community celebration that transforms downtown into a high-energy festival for all ages.

The night kicks off with local favorite and American Idol Season 22 contestant Cate Gartner and is headlined by high-energy cover band Graceland Ninjaz. Guests can shop local crafters, enjoy dinner, dessert and drinks from on-site food and beverage vendors, dance the night away on a glowing LED dance floor, and settle in for a dazzling fireworks finale to close out the evening.

Families will find plenty to love in the expanded Kid Zone, proudly sponsored by Myser Orthodontics.
