After our 4th graders researched the Texas Cattle Drive, they collaborated to write, perform, and record their own podcasts from the point of view of cowboys on the drive. Students tied in their background knowledge from previously having read The Tale of Despereaux (connecting a hero’s journey) and their own 4th grade journey.

Today, 4th graders proudly worked as docents guiding visitors through their immersive exhibit. As visitors scanned QR codes to listen to the podcasts, they were able to admire the murals the students had created to represent this period in time.

Thank you to our families who donated items and came to help pack Blessing Bags for our 4th quarter Bearcats Give Back Project! We were able to pack 35 bags to donate to Parker County Center Of Hope! 🧡🐾🖤

🚫 Aledo ISD is CLOSED on Friday's from June 5-July 24; We are OPEN Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM during that time.

Let’s travel through time⏳with our 3rd graders waaay back to last week when they held their Historical Fiction Author’s Read. Students researched a famous person or event from history and wrote a fictional tale featuring that event or person. Students then presented their tale to students and parents. Great job 3rd graders! 🕰️👩‍💻📝🧡🐾🖤

Fifth grade is working hard on their food truck project! They have had two amazing food truck owners present to them about what it is like to have a food truck business. Matt from Blend Smoothies and Lee from Limoges Coffee gave the students real world perspective and answered all their questions! We can’t wait to see what our future entrepreneurs use in their own food truck ideas! Stay tuned! ☕️🧋🧡🐾🖤

The Aledo PTO will NOT be ordering any extras to sell on our website in August. The only way to purchase school supplies through the Aledo PTO for the 2026-2027 school year is through EPI’s website between now and June 14th!

If financial assistance is needed, please contact your student's school counselor as soon as possible.
