🚨🐢 The Aledo Green Boys have officially taken over neighborhood traffic enforcement.
Their mission? Slow drivers down and protect the kids at play.

Failure to comply may result in intense turtle staring.👀

What they lack in speed, they make up for in numbers. 🐢🐢

Today we pause to honor and remember the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

National Peace Officers Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the courage, dedication, and selflessness shown by officers across our nation who gave their lives while protecting others.

We also recognize the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry their memory forward each day.

As we approach National Peace Officers Memorial Day, the Aledo Police Department is honored to receive this handcrafted American flag donated by Scott and Michele Darwin.

The flag was made by Flags of Valor, a Virginia-based company known for creating handcrafted wooden American flags in honor of those who serve our country and communities.

We are incredibly grateful for this thoughtful gift and the continued support shown to our department. This flag will be proudly displayed in our Police Department as a reminder of service, sacrifice, and community support.

Thank you again to Scott and Michele Darwin for this meaningful donation.

This week, we join communities across the nation in recognizing National Police Week — a time dedicated to honoring the service, sacrifice, and commitment of law enforcement officers everywhere.

National Police Week serves as an opportunity to recognize the men and women who wear the badge, protect their communities, and answer the call to serve each day.

The Aledo Police Department is proud to stand alongside law enforcement agencies across the country in remembering the importance of service, professionalism, and dedication to the communities we serve.

We thank all current and former law enforcement officers, dispatchers, support staff, and the families who support them behind the scenes.
