Town residents, with the impending snowfall approaching, please be advised that Maple Avenue, Virginia Street, and North and South Monroe will be subject to our standard snow removal routes. After multiple complaints and near misses, our officers will be spending more time on Monroe Street, South and Hemlock Avenue enforcing applicable laws. Please take a moment to remind yourself of the posted speed limits in these areas.

As a reminder, UTV and ATV operators must have insurance and valid WV operators license to operate those. Further, the municipality issues tags for our side streets and memorial bridge. Those state licensed vehicles are only legal upon the state maintained highways.

Any golf cart, UTV, ATV, or other specialty use vehicle must meet the requirements of the ordinance. A copy is available at city hall during normal business hours Monday thru Friday 7:30-3:30.

Tan and white intact male found on Calhoun St. Alderson. Is now locked up in puppy pound has cone on head very friendly I’m sure belongs to someone.
It is extremely hot outside today please contact City Hall and retrieve your pup.
