It's time once again for a turntable cleanup day! Last Saturday, a group of volunteers went down to clean up the frame of the turntable and the dirt in the turntable pit. Thank you to everyone who showed up to help!

On May 9th, Ironwood Farm held their usual private spring festival! Although the event is only for community friends and family, the operation of their traction engine, The Aultman Taylor, and The Steam Cart is a great opportunity to learn. A majority of our mechanical crew, who work on 2926, fired their first boiler, ran their first throttle, and blew their first whistle at Ironwood Farm. Ironwood has also dedicated time to many projects, like 26's air compressors and restoring the speeder.

The tender was the first project that was restored by the orginization! The disassembly of the tender was a major step in the restoration of 2926 and showed the capability of the orginization.

After years of support, Car 3939, with its splotchy paint job from multiple tags and years in restoration, finally got a needed solid coat of paint!
Last Saturday, a group of volunteers began the process of giving the car a nice silver paint job. Both sides were painted, and only the doors and ends need a coat before completion. Then it will be worthy of the mainline behind 2926!

Three years ago, on May 6th, 2023, 2926 ran outside of her restoration site for the first time. In three years, we have run on the main six times and outside of the restoration site nine times. We have also pushed toward the restoration of the turntable. Everything we have achieved is only thanks to our supporters and our great volunteers who keep her rolling!

Thank you to all the members who joined us for our members-only night photoshoot on April 18th! We all had a blast taking pictures of the fully restored locomotive and laughing with one another. It's great to host a photoshoot just for the members who work so hard to keep 2926 rolling!

If you came to the Roads & Rails event that was hosted by the Wheels Museum, you most likely heard 2926's whistle being blown every hour. The first whistle blow of the event was sounded by our youngest volunteer, Lily!
