We meet every Monday at 7 pm at St Paul's United Methodist Church. Troop 285 of Albuquerque is a high adventure troop, meeting each Monday from 7pm until 9pm at St. Pauls United Methodist Church 9500 Constitution Avenue Albuquerque, NM 87110. We are proud to be chartered by The Rotary Club of Albuquerque Del Sol. If you would like to join troop 285 or want more information about the troop please

feel free to visit us at any Monday meeting. Troop 285 holds 10 weekend camp outs a year, one week long camp out in July and 2 high adventure treks each year (hiking and canoeing). We are continually striving to provide a program that challenges the boys and builds leadership skills in each boy, While also instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath, Law, Motto and Slogan. Troop 285 believes all scouts if they want, should be given every opportunity and every effort given to help them achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. There is only one achievement that a teenage boy can attain that he can put on a resume at age 50 and that is the rank of Eagle Scout. The Troop committee and scout leaders have built a program over the years that aids and encourages scouts to advance in rank, with most scouts achieving the rank of 1st class within their first year and ultimately many scouts will reach the rank of Eagle in Troop 285. We are very proud that Troop 285 has had 212 scouts reach the rank of Eagle scout over the last 60 years. This is a testament to the program that Troop 285 has built over the years to build up and encourage all the scouts to have fun and reach any goal they set for themselves. We realize that not all scouts will want to advance in rank and thats OK! Troop 285's program is balanced so all scouts first and foremost will have fun whether or not they advance in rank.
