New Mexico Working Families Party

New Mexico Working Families Party NM WFP is a grassroots political organization that fights for economic and racial justice When as hard as we work, inequality in America is only getting worse.

We believe that our economy is out of whack when wages are stagnant and good jobs are harder and harder to come by, but the very wealthiest just get richer and richer. When college is getting more and more expensive, and retirement more and more insecure. When quality public education is only available for some, but not all, of our children. We also believe the promise of our democracy has been br

oken when the views of a single wealthy donor can carry more weight that the needs of millions of hard working families. When a moneyed few can pull the strings in our democracy, they rewrite the rules of our economy to benefit them. The wealthy few are making money by doing harm to working families, whether they’re outsourcing jobs, privatizing schools or poisoning the environment. Working Families is a growing progressive political organization that fights for an economy that works for all of us, and a democracy in which every voice matters. We believe that our children’s life chances must not be determined at birth, and that America must be a nation that allows all its people to thrive.

NM Working Families Party is very happy to share our endorsement for Amanda López Askin for Secretary of State

As a County Clerk in Dona Ana County, Amanda has already stood up to Trump and election deniers, overseeing the 2022 congressional election which came down to 1350 votes.

Amanda has been the only candidate to consistently stand up for voters, to defend access to polling locations, to push back against people who wish to intimidate working families, and to keep ICE out of our polling locations

We are proud to support Amanda, because she will continue to fight to make sure our working families have a voice in New Mexico.

Cinco de Mayo, First Day of Early Voting, and NM WFP's first endorsement of the 2026 primary elections!

We are proud to endorse Deb Haaland for Governor of New Mexico!

Deb understands the challenges we face in New Mexico, and the hard work that goes in to supporting a working class family.

Deb has proven that she will stand up for our public lands, for our workers, and our communities.

She understands that leadership is more than who can stand up and shout the loudest, but who can listen and respond to the needs of their people, and will work with all of us to make sure New Mexico serves all its people, not just the wealthy and well connected.

We're excited to forge ahead, and work on the future we all know is possible!
