Last day today! If you're a veteran, especially a female who served in the military, this conference has key information for accessing your state and federal benefits! We're in Las Cruces, NM until noon today at the Hotel E. Come say hi! 👋🇺🇸

The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS) will host its annual 2026 Veterans Conference on April 17th–18th at Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces in Las Cruces, 705 S. Telshor Blvd., Las Cruces, NM 88011, bringing together Veterans, families, service providers, and advocates from across the state.

This year’s theme, “Empowering Every Veteran, Enriching Every Community,” highlights the strong partnership between New Mexico’s Veteran community and the many organizations dedicated to serving those who have worn the uniform.

The two-day conference will feature program briefings from state, federal, and community partners who support Veterans, along with updates on available services, resources, and state and federal benefits. Attendees will have opportunities to connect directly with Veteran-friendly organizations and learn more about programs designed to assist Veterans and their families.

Veterans will have the opportunity to meet directly with NMDVS staff and service providers to get help with benefits applications and claims questions. Support will be available for property tax waivers and exemptions, obtaining the New Mexico State Parks Lifetime Veteran Pass, filing VA benefits and compensation claims, and answering questions about VA health care eligibility and enrollment.

Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD-214 (if applicable), their VA award letter, and any VA correspondence related to benefits to help streamline the process.

The conference will take place on Friday, April 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Saturday, April 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is free and open to Veterans and their families, but space is limited.
