We live out this mission by sharing the hope and love of Christ while meeting basic needs and offering long-term solutions that empower people toward a more stable future. Since 1954, we have been a source of hope for our neighbors in crisis: the addicted, homeless, hungry, and abused. We provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, residential programs, and other resources that offer men and women the opportunity to transform their lives. We receive $0 in government funding. Everything we do is because of the generosity of people like you. Food Boxes - We will disturb non-perishable food boxes for low-income families from 8 am - 4 pm on Monday - Thursday. “There was a time when I believed leaving addiction wasn’t possible. I believed I wasn’t enough. But God did not give up on me.”

Before coming to Steelbridge, Letty was struggling with addiction in ways even some of the people closest to her didn’t know. She could still hold a job, but behind the scenes, addiction was taking her family, relationships, health, finances, and sense of self.

Then came a moment of clarity and the decision to start walking toward recovery.

Today, Letty is rebuilding what addiction tried to take from her and learning that every choice matters.

Her story is one of faith, family, accountability, and the courage to choose recovery one day at a time.

“I just knew that I didn’t want to keep living like that.”

For years, Johnny found himself in the same cycle: rebuilding his life, finding something good, and watching addiction take it away again.

Jobs. Time with his family. Time with his son. His peace.

Today, Johnny is choosing something different.

At Steelbridge, he’s finding strength in his faith, learning to “play the tape forward,” and working toward becoming the father, son, and man he knows he can be.

“The only thing that I’ve really found relief and sustaining peace in is God and Jesus Christ.”

Johnny’s story is one of recovery, family, faith, and learning to trust God even when the path forward doesn’t look the way he expected.

My Lord and King, as we face the dilemmas and challenges of life, it settles our hearts to know that You are with us. Only in You can we find the peace, strength, and courage to continue on our walk. Our desire is to be in union with You and Your Kingdom, and Your Word gives us the promise that makes this truth real in our lives.

1 John 4:17 reminds us, “…as He is, so are we in this world.”
Thank You, Father, for such an awesome revelation and for reminding us of who we are in You.

Mental health is just one part of the story.

Many of the men and women who come to Steelbridge have experienced trauma, addiction, homelessness, or years of broken relationships. That’s why our approach to recovery goes beyond sobriety. We believe lasting healing happens when the whole person is cared for.

Through our partnership with Rise Up New Mexico, residents receive professional counseling, group and individual therapy, and case management alongside Christ centered discipleship, life skills classes, biblical teaching, and a supportive community that walks with them every step of the way.

This Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded that recovery is possible when hope, healing, and the right support come together.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to celebrate moments like these.

Today we had the privilege of recognizing the men who earned their next promotion in the program. Every milestone represents hard work, growth, and the decision to keep showing up, even when the road isn’t easy. We are grateful for what God is doing in their lives and thankful to be part of their story.
