As 2025 begins, legislators and business leaders pre-filed key issues impacting the state. In response, NMCC finalized its 2025 Policy Agenda, which is available for your review on our website now. The New Mexico Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Policy Agenda is the aggregation of key issues from our ten policy committees that represent the cumulative socio-economic concerns of New Mexico's businesses and the communities they serve: www.nmchamber.org/issues/policy-agenda

We are just DAYS away from the start of the 2025 Legislative Session. This will be a 60-day session, therefore the scope of legislation introduced will be broad. Legislators, stakeholders, and the public are waiting to see what legislative proposals will be pre-filed before the January 17th deadline.

NMCC is encouraged that state leaders are focused on investing in the state and New Mexicans through infrastructure, behavioral health, workforce development, and education, among other initiatives.

Proposals have already been put on the table that NMCC believes are a threat to a thriving business climate and growing New Mexico’s economy. NMCC is closely monitoring these proposals and will keep you abreast in our legislative update emails each Thursday.

Follow NMCC's exclusive legislative updates each Thursday throughout the session to keep up with current discussions and find out ways to take action!
