From September 10-19, 2026, the City of Albuquerque Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs celebrates Welcoming Week, an annual campaign that invites communities worldwide to host events that deepen understanding and connection among community members. This year, the City of Albuquerque will share information, videos, and educational posts to help the community learn more about immigrants and refugees.

Everyone in the City of Albuquerque wants to feel supported and truly welcomed by neighbors and the larger community. That kind of support takes effort and an ongoing commitment to foster belonging and community-wide connection. Welcoming Week is where this commitment can start.
