Alert! Today is the last day of the campaign to ask that EMS receive direct funding in Phase 4. Please take a moment and send your support and share!

Team: Congress is working on the next round of relief for COVID-19. We are asking that EMS receive direct relief in Phase 4. Please take action on the NAEMT online legislative services tool and use it to send your House Representative an email urging them to sign on to a Dear Colleague letter that includes these points:
Amending the Stafford Act to enable all 9-1-1 medical responders to apply directly to FEMA for Public Assistance Grants beginning immediately, and for the duration of the public health crisis.
Appropriating at least $5 billion specifically for EMS within the FEMA grant program.
Waiving the requirement for a 25% match during the pandemic response.
Can we get NM on this map to shade completely in black indicating we have sent the minimum number of letters to our Reps.
Get 10 people to use the tool for each rep and show we have a voice in the game!
Stay Safe!
No need to be a first responder, EMT, or member of NAEMT to take action. Everyone is welcome!

Advocacy Action Alert! Deadline Tomorrow!
Advocates: NAEMT has issued a call to action requesting your help in asking our US House Representatives to urge CMS to reimburse for treatment in place and telehealth facilitation.

Take action: https://www.naemt.org/advocacy/online-legislative-service #/

Historically CMS does not reimburse services if the patient is not transported to the hospital. In the response to the COVID pandemic our EMS agencies are working harder than ever and an important strategy to reduce infection spread and lessen the strain on our hospitals it is often appropriate that patients receive care at home and with telehealth for appropriate conditions.

We need CMS to reimburse for treatment in place and telehealth directly. Our EMT's and Paramedics, as well as our first responder colleagues, are still bravely doing their jobs and the already under-funded EMS system in our country needs more resources.

Take a moment to take action on the NAEMT online tool and share as widely as you can. No need to be a member of NAEMT or a first responder to take part. We all benefit from the work of our EMTs.
