Join us for a fun, family-friendly night of country music, dancing, and community at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial!

🎶 Free Dance Lessons: 6:00–6:45 PM
🎵 Dance Music: 7:00–9:00 PM
🌭 Burgers, Hotdogs, Drinks & Desserts: Available for donations

The donations all go towards our nonprofit and help us continue our mission here at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial.

No dance experience needed. Just come on out and have a good time!

A Double Honor for the New Mexico Veterans Memorial!🇺🇸🏆🏆

We are incredibly proud to share that the New Mexico Veterans Memorial and one of our Board Directors, Robert Martinez were both recognized at this year’s Annual RSVP Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, marking not one, but TWO awards for our NMVM community!

👏 Robert Martinez received the Volunteer of the Year Award! We are proud to call him one of our Board Directors and even prouder to see his volunteer service recognized.

🇺🇸 The New Mexico Veterans Memorial received the RSVP Substantial Volunteer Station of the Year Award.
This award belongs to all of our incredible NMVM Volunteers whose time, dedication, and service help keep the Memorial a place of remembrance, honor, and community.

To every volunteer who has given their time and talents to the New Mexico Veterans Memorial, THANK YOU! This recognition would not have been possible without you.

Tonight is the Albuquerque Concert Band last summer concert. Don't miss it! It will be held here at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial from 7pm to 8pm.

This is a FREE event, all are welcome!

Just a reminder... our last concert of the summer will be this coming Wednesday, August 12th, at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Amphitheater. Downbeat is 7pm and, as always, this concert is FREE and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you there. 🎶

The New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services (NMDVS) invites Honor Guard volunteers from across New Mexico to attend the 17th Annual Military Honors Fall Training Conference and Competition on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial, 1100 Louisiana Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.

Hosted by NMDVS in partnership with the New Mexico National Guard and AARP New Mexico, this biannual training strengthens the skills and precision required to render military funeral honors with dignity and professionalism.

Participants will receive hands-on instruction from military funeral honors experts, take part in demonstrations and breakout sessions, and compete in team evaluations that include flag folding, flag presentation, sounding of Taps, and r***e volleys.

NMDVS supports more than 30 all-volunteer Honor Guard teams across New Mexico that provide military funeral honors and ensure no Veteran is laid to rest without the recognition they have earned.
This training helps Honor Guard volunteers maintain the highest standards of military funeral honors while connecting with fellow teams from across the state to share knowledge, strengthen skills, and honor the service and sacrifice of New Mexico's Veterans.
