Earlier this week we gathered with tribal leaders from around the state to celebrate the signing of the Tribal Notification and Engagement Consultation amendment to the City’s Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO). The amendment creates an opportunity for feedback from tribal representatives when planning new developments near historic and culturally significant tribal land. We're proud to see Albuquerque lead the nation with this first-of-its-kind initiative, and we look forward to a flourishing partnership with tribal leaders as our communities continue to grow.
